Submissions
JNT is multi-genre, multi-period, multi-national. Current submissions should address the intersection of narrative, history, ideology, and/or culture, all broadly defined.
General Rules for Submissions
For tips on submitting scholarly articles, view these guidelines laid out by the Council of Editors of Learned Journals (CELJ).
- Submit manuscripts through Editorial Manager at https://www.editorialmanager.com/jnt/. Receipt will be confirmed upon final approval of the manuscript;
- The submission must be between 25 and 35 pages, double-spaced with one-inch margins, and no less than 6,500 words;
- The journal does not accept any manuscripts submitted simultaneously to other publication venues;
- Omit any reference to the author(s) in the document to ensure anonymous review;
- Articles submitted for consideration should be formatted according to the JNT style guide. If accepted for publication, articles must follow JNT's Style Guide, and author(s) are responsible for making the appropriate changes to the document in that respect upon acceptance;
- Keep endnotes to a minimum, incorporating information into the main text wherever possible;
- No multiple submissions by the same author at the same time;
- Authors are responsible for copyright permissions and fees for illustrations and/or extracts. High-resolution files or glossy prints of images will be necessary upon acceptance.
